I did go to the munch TODAY i turned up just after 1pm sat in the club had a coke and no one turned up !!!!! Sat there till just after 2pm went out for a fag then left............... So what is the scoop??????

What a bummer. Shocked

It doesn't start until 2.00pm. If you left just after 2.00pm and nobody else had arrived by then, I can only assume that one of the two organisers may have been on holiday, with the remaining organiser running a little late. If you were to factor into account that the regular attendees may not have intended showing right at the beginning with them dropping in gradually as the afternoon progresses, then one may easily end up with the situation you described.

I'm sure you would have had company if you'd stuck around a little longer. If you think about everyone who goes to the munch, it isn't unrealistic for almost all of them to have other things on which may prevent them from attending one particular month, or not attending a full munch on the day. I once sat until 2.15pm way back when the munch used to start at 1.00pm, whereas two months prior to this around 15 people were already there by 1.00pm. Shit happens!

Summer in general has a strange effect on munch attendances - all over the country.

Recharge your nerves and attend September's Munch and get there a little later. Wink

Oh please don't get me wrong i had already spoke in private to say i would be attending and was offered to meet an hour before it started i can only assume that there has been a breakdown in communication somewhere.

Not sure about Septembers meet that is during oil week in the city, so many may be tied up around that weekend. (no pun intended) Tongue

I will see what can be sorted out before that if anything lips sealed

Well to be honest there was one guy there who sat by the bar not sure if he was part of us or not but he made no effort to say anything. I will not manage to september meet or the october meet so it will be november before i even consider it again. No it hasn't put me off it was just the one i could manage to come to for the next few months. Maybe i could arrange to meet you or a few others for a coffee sometime when it is ok for us just so i get to know others before i come to the next meet.
